TemplateMonster: Could you please introduce yourself to our readers? Where are you from?
Chris: First of all, I’d like to thank you for this opportunity. My name is Chris, and I’m from Romania. In the dev world, I’m known as Windstripe Themes.
TemplateMonster: How did you start your career?
Chris: My first exposure to Joomla was in 2008 after finishing high school. It was the first time I heard about this platform. After going to college, I decided to try web development again and give it a chance in 2012. So I started building sites with Joomla and WordPress. After taking a break in 2017, I decided to continue my path as a theme/template developer and have worked in this field for over five years.
TemplateMonster: What features are common for all of your products? How can we distinguish them among others?
Chris: What my products have in common is the imprint of my clients. It means that my works have always been influenced by the feedback I got from each customer. My products have improved and become more flexible and easier to use due to the suggestions and recommendations received over time. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the development of my work.
TemplateMonster: Do you work alone or with a team? (if with the team, please tell us about it)
Chris: I have always worked in a team. There are many tasks that you can’t do on your own. That’s why it’s important to have reliable coworkers who know exactly what they’re doing. My job is to focus on development and support while my colleagues take care of other important tasks like design, promotion, or pre-sales.
TemplateMonster: How did you choose your career? Do you like being a designer/developer?
Chris: In fact, my career chose me. After graduating from high school, someone gave me a book about Joomla. Having learned about it, I began to dive into this area more and more, studying the information available on the Internet. It’s great to be a developer.
It has so many benefits that it’s hard for me to choose one. To mention a few that come to my mind: you are your own boss, so you can set up your schedule and change it as you like, your earnings also depend mainly on your workload, etc.
TemplateMonster: What is your favorite and least favorite part of your work?
Chris: My favorite part is development. I have always liked to create something from scratch. I enjoy watching the process of evolution of the digital product I’m making and the achievement of the final goal.
The least favorite part is that sometimes a lot of time is wasted when trying to create a certain layout. But it’s not a big deal cause that’s business. It can’t be all easy.
TemplateMonster: Do you follow up with the latest design trends? What trends do you use in your work?
Chris: Yes, Sometimes I follow the latest design trends without even knowing it. It is like watching your child grow. You don’t know what day he got taller. You just realize it. It applies to design skills as well. You look back at a 2019 design, and you know it’s from that year. And you didn’t even notice how you evolved to keep up with the trends.
TemplateMonster: Could you please describe your audience? What would people enjoy the most about your products?
Chris: I do not have any specific audience. My items are for both experienced web designers and beginners. Both categories have purchased my works and have been very happy with their flexibility and ease of use. It’s great satisfaction when a client tells you that your design is perfect for them.
TemplateMonster: How long does it take to create an item from scratch?
Chris: The answer to this question depends on the project. It can be a 10-page template that can be done in 3-4 days. However, the same ten pages can take up to 2 weeks. It all depends on the tasks at hand.
I usually try to maintain a two-week pace for each digital product.
TemplateMonster: Why did you decide to work with TemplateMonster? Would you recommend this platform to others?

Chris: I always try to see which niches I should give more attention to and focus on them. In general, I plan to make my products even easier to use. So I think many very pleasant surprises await my clients in the future.
TemplateMonster: Please share some tips for beginners.
Chris: What I would like to say to beginners is not to give up. If this is what you want to do, do it even though it feels overwhelming most of the time and you feel like it will take a lifetime to learn. Trust me; it will get better with time.
Failure is okay; quitting is not. What is important is that you know this is what you want to do. If so, it’s only a matter of time before you succeed.
